Writer's Block: You're my best friend

My...best friend....ever...was and is Atobe Keigo. I have known him since I can remember. We were...always together. Always. Even when I went home with my mom and dad...he'd always call to wish me...good night. He always, always protected me from a lot of things. From the mean people...who thought I was stupid. From adults...that thought I shouldn't be around him....From teachers that wanted to force me to talk before I was ready to myself...Even from myself when I would get really angry.

He even contacts Santa-sama for me every year, with his special very private address. He makes sure Santa gets my letters. He has always been there for me.

I will really miss him...when he goes off to college. But he will always be close to me. Always and always and I'm so happy that Chinen...Hiroshi-san...that he has someone like that to look out for him and protect him. Keigo is more delicate than...than he'll ever let anyone know.

And yesterday, we had lunch together. Me and my best friend...We haven't do that in...a long time. He ate everything I made for him and said to me...that it was the best food...that he had ever eaten...Ever. He said that if that's what I want to do...then he'll support me and that he'll be fighting Jirou for the spot...as my first ever customer.

But because this is our last Christmas coming up as highschoolers together...I have to think of something extra nice for Santa-san to bring him. Santa-san gave Atobe-sama what I asked for last year. So this year...something even better than a smile....

I need to start working on my letter right away.

Santa's actually got an email address now, too, you know~~ He's still kinda new to it, so he doesn't give it out to too many children, but me and Keigo are in the know~~ ...But since I'm personally still mad at him and got into an argument with him for not giving me the present I've wanted for several years now, I'm not really responding to his emails at the moment, so you'll have to ask Keigo for his address...

...But you needn't worry about Keigo at all, Munehiro.....I plan to look out for and protect him for a very, very long time~~

He does? I am.... sorry ...that you are still fighting with Santa-san. I will try to put in a good word for you with him. Becayse I also ask Santa for gifts to bring to all my friends.

Well...when you're a distraught ten-year-old and have long believed that Santa can bring you anything you ask for as a gift...you end up becoming upset when you learn that's not really true...And I confronted him about it one Christmas....and called him a liar and that I never wanted anything from him ever again because none of it will be what I asked him for....So that's exactly what he did.....I've since grown up and realized that not even Santa Claus can create miracles and bring people back from the dead, though...But...I still haven't quite forgiven him for making me believe he could grant a wish that he really couldn't...

He has never....ever...failed me though...So..I can tell him...that your sorry for being mad at him. I'm sure...more than anyone....Santa-san understands.
